Science and Technology Backyard

STB is a field-based agricultural science network where researchers and graduate students live close to farms, work with farmers, test technologies and turn local problems into usable solutions.

The first STB was formed in Quzhou, Hebei in 2009. China Agricultural University reported 233 STBs across 30 provinces and 155 counties or districts, plus 8 overseas STBs in 5 countries.
